If you like football, or really like football I have to recommend to you the weekly Tuesday Morning Quarterback column on the ESPN site. Its not for the reader who cant read more than five paragraphs but his column is a fantastic read. Its certainly fairly erudite and scholarly and I look forward to it each week. Sad its only one more week left to his column for the season just like there is only one week left to the, as he would say, “artificial universe” of football. I am sure Gregg will implore all of us football fans who now will have hours more every week, what with no football to follow, to take up more reading, charity work or other worthy pursuits. But that can wait for couple more days as my Steelers have one more game to play that I can spend my time on!
IPad for Reading
I have finished one complete book on the Ipad and I really enjoyed it. The book was The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo and I am now off on the next one. However, I do feel that with so many options on the Ipad the temptation for distraction is great. Very great indeed as I do love the Ipad and all I can do with it. I am going to have to be aware of that and am curious how many others come across that same distraction concept when reading with their ipads.
Blogging Newbie
I am sure many blogger must start out this way with the thinking of what do I have to say that is worth people reading. But I feel you must start somewhere and who knows if you dont take that first step. I dont have a predetermined topic but I know what I like based on the many interesting blogs I have come across and enjoy. I am looking forward to starting this experiment and if you will….journey. Hopefully part of that journey will include an improvement in my quick-by-the-fly compositional skills!
